How to read a listing

Sale listings carry five checks. Adoption and rehoming carry two. Lost and found reports carry one.

What each check proves

Recorded by Pet Assured staff, with the date.

  • Not yet checked

Still open. Never shown as a pass.

  • Did not pass

We say so, with the reason.

Adopting through Pet Assured

Is there a price for adoption?

Adoption and rehoming listings don't show a sale price. Any costs, such as vaccinations already done, are discussed through Pet Assured before you commit.

Why can't I see the owner's phone number?

Pet Assured passes messages on and keeps contact details private on both sides until a meeting is arranged.

What does “On hold” mean?

Someone is already in conversation about this pet. New enquiries are paused until it becomes available again or is adopted.

Will I hear back if the pet is adopted?

Yes. When a listing closes, everyone who enquired gets a note in their dashboard.
